Overview
vtquery is a Node module that finds the closest features to a longitude and latitude within a set of vector tile buffers. You pass tile objects with their buffer and z, x, y values, a query point, and options. It serves two main uses: listing the features nearest to a point, and point in polygon checks by setting the radius to 0. Options include radius, result limit, layer names and geometry type. It was built with node-cpp-skel, vtzero and other C++ libraries.
Key features
- Returns features closest to a [lng, lat] point
- Point in polygon checks with radius set to 0
- Options for radius, limit (1 to 1000), layers and geometry
- Takes vector tile buffers as input
Best for
Node developers who need to ask what is near or under a point using vector tile data. Include neighbouring tiles when the radius exceeds one tile.
