Overview

geojson-coords is a small JavaScript module that pulls every coordinate out of a GeoJSON object and returns them as one flat array. It accepts any valid GeoJSON root object, collapses nested coordinate arrays and turns a single Point into an entry in the list. It is handy when you only care about the points and not the geometry structure around them. You install it from npm and call a single function.

Key features

  • Accepts any valid GeoJSON root object
  • Collapses multidimensional coordinate arrays into one list
  • Expands Point coordinates into list entries
  • Single function API

Best for

Developers who need a plain list of points from GeoJSON, for instance before computing bounds or distances.
