Overview
MapGoGoGo is a prototype H5 web app for map lighting challenges. An organizer picks a real map area and gets a challenge link. Participants open it on a phone and walk around, and the map cells they pass are lit up, so a group can light up a school, park, neighborhood or shopping district together. It uses a React and Vite frontend, a Python FastAPI backend and SQLite, with the AMap JS API for maps. The README is in Chinese.
Key features
- Create a challenge by searching a place, using GPS or picking on the map
- Set radius, duration and cell size
- Phone GPS lights up cells the participant walks through
- Overlay hides the map until cells are lit, with a leaderboard
- Runs in a simulated map mode without an AMap key
Best for
Teams prototyping location based group challenges such as campus check-ins or park runs. It is a prototype, SQLite suits small tests, and H5 may not keep recording when the page is in the background.
