Overview
jsprit is a Java toolkit for solving rich Traveling Salesman and Vehicle Routing Problems. It is based on a single all-purpose meta-heuristic and is maintained by GraphHopper. You define vehicles, jobs and extra constraints in code, run the solver, and can visualise the solutions. It is added as a Maven or Gradle dependency and requires Java 21 or higher.
Key features
- Capacitated, multiple depot and time window VRP variants
- Pickups and deliveries, backhauls and heterogeneous fleets
- Time-dependent VRP, TSP and Dial-a-Ride problems
- Modular design that allows custom constraints and algorithm changes
- Solution visualisation
Best for
Java developers planning delivery or service routes with real-world constraints such as capacities and time windows.
