Overview
Pindrop is a native macOS menu bar dictation app that turns speech into text. It stays offline and private by default, with optional cloud transcription. It is built in Swift and SwiftUI and uses local engines on Apple Silicon, including WhisperKit, Parakeet, SenseVoice and Apple's on-device speech stack. Optional OpenAI transcription models are available, and API credentials are kept in the macOS Keychain.
