Overview
PipePipe is an open-source Android app forked from NewPipe and developed independently for browsing YouTube and other services. It adds tools for shaping discovery and playback, including SponsorBlock, search and content filters, playback gestures, background music playback, and playlist downloads. Users can sign in to access restricted or premium content; YouTube login cookies are used only to retrieve playback streams. PipePipe is a separate project and does not receive NewPipe updates.

- Skip sponsored segments on YouTube and BiliBili with SponsorBlock, restore YouTube dislikes, and show original YouTube titles.
- Use advanced search filters and filter content by keywords or channels; block Shorts and paid videos.
- Control playback with swipe gestures, background playback, AV1 and VP9 support, and a sleep timer.
- Download full playlists, then search or sort local playlists and histories.
