Overview

DroidDeck brings a SteamOS-like gaming setup to supported Android handhelds by running Valve’s Steam client in Big Picture mode and Windows games through Valve’s ARM64 Proton. Install the APK and Linux runtime, then launch Steam and sign in; no root is required. Optional desktop and app tools add a desktop with emulators, while the Store installs ARM64 Linux software from Flathub. Store integrations also let users access GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games libraries and add downloaded games to Steam.

Key features

  • Run Steam in Big Picture mode on supported Android Adreno devices.
  • Launch Windows games through Valve’s ARM64 Proton.
  • Install a desktop and emulators, plus Linux apps and games from Flathub; AppImages and setup scripts are also available.
  • Access GOG, Epic Games, and Amazon Games libraries, download games, and add them to Steam as non-Steam games.

Best for

Best for owners of supported Adreno Android handhelds who want to use Steam and run Windows games through Proton. Device compatibility and performance vary; Mali, Xclipse, PowerVR, and Adreno 710 are unsupported.
