Overview

terrahour is a Python world clock that runs in the terminal. Its braille map shows daylight and tracked cities, while a 24-hour timeline shows working hours and when those hours overlap. Scrub or jump to a different time to check schedules, and return to live time when done. It also includes daylight-saving change information, exchange trading sessions, alerts, and optional weather. A compact layout and a one-line mode support terminal status bars and tmux splits.

Key features

  • Braille world map shaded for day and night, with markers for tracked cities.
  • City timelines show working hours and their shared overlap window.
  • Move through time in 15-minute steps, enter a time directly, or return to live time.
  • View daylight-saving changes, exchange trading sessions, alerts, or optional weather.

Best for

Useful for people coordinating work across time zones or checking when exchanges are open. Choose it when you want these schedules in a terminal, including a tmux split or status bar.
