Overview
Graft is a command line tool that helps coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Gemini understand a codebase without re-exploring it every session. It reads your code once and writes a graph into the repo as linked markdown files, one node per system, API or concept, each explained in plain English. It then wires hooks and a statusline into Claude Code so matching nodes are added to each prompt. Install it with npm and run graft init.
