Overview
claude-mem is a TypeScript plugin that gives AI coding agents memory that lasts across sessions. It records the tool usage and observations from each session, compresses them into semantic summaries, and makes the relevant parts available to later sessions. This lets an agent such as Claude Code keep track of project knowledge even after a session ends or reconnects. It is installed with an npx command and also lists other agent hosts.
