Overview

learn-from-materials is a cross-agent learning skill that turns books, PDFs, slides, Word documents, web pages, and sets of files into traceable knowledge bases, interactive learning pages, and Markdown from shared content data. It supports systematic study of a whole source or a quick review of its central argument. In an agent environment with file access and Python, it extracts material, checks coverage, preserves source references, and renders pages for guided study, notes, and quizzes.

Key features

  • Converts books, PDFs, slides, Word documents, web pages, and file sets into learning materials.
  • Keeps source references available alongside learning content.
  • Creates a whole-material methodology in JSON and Markdown.
  • Accumulates reusable methods in a knowledge base and supports keyword search and comparison exports.

Best for

Learners who want to study source material with traceable references, rather than rely on an unverified summary. It is suited to agent environments that can read files and run local Python commands.
