Overview

Traceway is an open-source observability platform built around OpenTelemetry. It helps teams investigate application behavior by bringing logs, traces, metrics, exceptions, session replay, and AI traces together. Send telemetry through an OTLP exporter to search logs, follow spans across services, review endpoint performance, and group exceptions into issues. It also supports alerting and on-call paging. Teams can run it themselves or use Traceway Cloud; the project says no Collector or vendor-specific language SDK is required.

Key features

  • Ingest and search structured, trace-linked logs, and follow spans across services.
  • View endpoint latency percentiles, throughput, error rates, and host, runtime, and custom metrics.
  • Group normalized exceptions into issues, with source maps for webpack, esbuild, and Vite.
  • Replay web or Flutter sessions to review activity before an error.
  • Track AI call costs, tokens, latency, and conversations across supported providers and compatible gateways.

Best for

Teams that want to investigate application telemetry in one OpenTelemetry-native platform. Choose it when you want to self-host observability or use Traceway Cloud.
