Overview

Homelable is a self-hosted tool for visualizing and documenting homelab infrastructure. It scans local networks and can import devices from Proxmox, Zigbee, and Z-Wave, helping identify machines, devices, and services. Health checks such as ping, TCP, and health APIs provide an online or offline view. Use its canvases for network diagrams and rack layouts, and keep device notes, runbooks, and other lab pages alongside the diagrams.

Key features

  • Scan networks and import devices from Proxmox, Zigbee, and Z-Wave.
  • Check service availability with ping, TCP, and health API checks.
  • Create network diagrams and rack layouts, including port-to-port patch connections.
  • Keep generated device documentation and user-written markdown pages, such as runbooks.

Best for

Homelab operators who want to map and document their infrastructure in one self-hosted tool. It is useful when they also need to identify devices or check service status.
